Barcelona head coach Xavi Hernández has called up 22 players for FC Barcelona’s upcoming league match against Getafe CF. This match will be played at 06:30 pm Central European Time on Sunday, 22nd January at Spotify Camp Nou.

Xavi has decided not to rest any player for the upcoming game against Getafe considering the importance of this match in the fierce title race with arch rivals Real Madrid. Ronald Araujo and Frenkie de Jong have returened in the squad list after being rested for the previous match against AD Ceuta FC in the round of 16 of Copa Del Rey.

However, Xavi will not be able to count on the services of Robert Lewandowski and Ferran Torres as both players are serving their respective suspensions. As a result of these notable in the forward line, Xavi has called up young La Masian forward Angel Alarcon, who might get another chance to showcase his abilities to impress the coaching staff and Camp Nou faithful.

La Blaugrana are already ahead on the points table with an advantage of 3 points and will surely look forward to increasing this advantage to put pressure on Los Blancos, as they will be facing the challenge of Ernesto Valverde’s Athletic club at San Mamés on Monday night.
