Barcelona announce squad for the match against Real Madrid

Barcelona head coach Xavi Hernández has called up 21 players for La Blaugrana’s upcoming league match against Real Madrid. The Catalan giants will partake in the potential title-decider El Clasico without Ousmane Dembele and Pedri Gonzalez as both players have not recovered from their respective injuries.

Pedri’s absence in the heart of Barcelona midfield could force Xavi to opt for the same tactical approach we witnessed against Real Madrid at Santiago Bernabéu to grind out the result at Camp Nou.

There are plenty of questions to assess ahead of this clash, and it will be, without a doubt, a crucial match, not only for its prestige and history but for its importance in terms of the La Liga title race as well. A victory against the arch-rivals is always hard to earn but feels even better if achieved.
