Barcelona announce squad for the match against Valencia

Barca vs Valencia CF

Barcelona head coach Xavi Hernández has called up 20 players for FC Barcelona’s upcoming league match against Valencia CF. La Blaugranes are missing several key players for this clash due to injuries and suspensions. Even the head coach Xavi is also suspended and his assistant Òscar Hernández will lead the Catalans from the bench.

However, the Garnet and the Blue received a major boost in terms of the return of Danish defender Andreas Christensen who suffered a minor blow ahead of the Copa Del Rey clash against Real Madrid. Christensen has trained normally with the rest of the squad today and is expected to participate in the game against Valencia.

Xavi has also called up Estanis Pedrola and Angel Alarcon from the subsidiary amid the unavailability of offensive options upfront. Both of the youngsters trained with the first team and will look forward to grasping this opportunity to impress the coach and the Camp Nou faithful if they get a chance to feature against the 19th-paced Valencia side.
