FC Barcelona next take on Villarreal at Estadi de la Ceramica, hoping to secure their 2nd win of the official campaign following a 2-0 victory against Cadiz at the Montjuic stadium in their previous outing.
Barcelona will have to overcome their opponents without the aid of the injured duo of Ronald Araujo and Pedri, as well as the suspended Brazilian winger Raphinha. Their absences will be undoubtedly felt, but Barcelona should have enough depth to lessen the impact of their loss.
However, this, in turn, provides a chance for the subsidiary stars to shine as Xavi takes the opportunity to call upon the aid of some of the best that the Barcelona youth ranks have to offer. There could be a significant chance for some of them to feature at some point during the clash against Yellow Submarine.
The unregistered players still do not get called up as their records still do not exist within La Liga, meaning that Inaki Pena and Inigo Martinez will continue to wait for their first call-up this season.
