FC Barcelona have been performing rather comfortably on the pitch since the turn of 2025. They are one of those few teams in Europe who have not lost a game since the turn of the year and look on course to challenge for trophies.
The Catalan club has regained its position at the top of the table in La Liga and is well-placed to make a deep run in the Champions League, especially after falling on the favorable side of the draw. They also find themselves in the semi-finals of the Copa del Rey.

The experienced German international is on the last year of his contract with the defending Bundesliga champions and it has been quite evident for a while now that he won’t be putting pen to paper on a new contract with the club.
Meanwhile, Barcelona have made no secret about their admiration for Tah and could look to jump at the opportunity to reunite him with Hansi Flick. The German coach has managed the player before with the international team.
Barcelona’s current center-back options are quite well stacked with Pau Cubarsi, Inigo Martinez, Eric Garcia, and Ronald Araujo complementing each other admirably. Meanwhile, injuries have not allowed Andreas Christensen to get any kind of look in.
