Joao Felix arrived at FC Barcelona only on the last day of the last summer transfer window, but his impact at the Catalan club is already being felt. As already reported here, the Portuguese international has surprised the club officials with his readiness to adapt to the Barcelona dressing room and training methods.

His quick adaptation at the club is also clear from his performances on the pitch. Felix has already scored three goals in three starts for the club, while also assisting his teammates on the final end of the pitch.

Felix and Lewandowski developing good chemistry

There is one player in particular with whom Felix is developing effective chemistry: his fellow forward, Robert Lewandowski. As SPORT has noted, the two have already combined on several occasions to score goals for the Catalan club.

Against Real Betis, Lewandowski scored a goal after Felix allowed the ball to get to him with an intelligent dummy. The two again combined in the match against Antwerp, along with Gundogan, to score the first goal of the game, which was finished by Felix. The Portuguese international then assisted Lewandowski with another goal.

The two forwards combined against Celta last night once again to score Barcelona’s first goal, and thus spark the comeback.

Good relations off the pitch

This chemistry is not only limited to the ground, but the players are also close off the pitch. Both players speak English fluently, while Lewandowski has improved his Spanish too since moving to Barcelona.

Felix respects Lewandowski a lot, and the Pole himself also values Felix for his ability to share the offensive burden with him and his overall quality as a player.

Thus, both the players have shown a willingness to play together, and envy or ego has not crept into their relationship at the club. Barcelona would be the biggest beneficiary of this association, but both of them will also grow by further developing this budding chemistry.
