FC Barcelona have been one of the best-performing teams in Europe so far. The Catalan club has started the season with aplomb and under new manager Hansi Flick, they have emerged as a free-flowing, attack-minded team.

After seasons of pragmatism under Xavi Hernandez, this attack-minded team has been a breath of fresh air. Barcelona has been scoring goals for fun this season both in La Liga and the Champions League and the general mood around the club has improved.

As per Mundo Deportivo, the first-choice Barcelona attacking trio of Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha and Lamine Yamal are racking up the best numbers in Europe and it comes as no surprise that they rank among the very best in the world.

The trident has the most goal contributions (16) in Europe’s top five leagues while the Catalan team has also scored the most goals (25) in Europe. PSG have the second-most goals with 20 currently. The trio of Lewandowski, Raphinha, and Lamine have contributed to 64% of the goals for their team so far.

As a result, the Blaugrana trio is currently outperforming other best trios in Europe like Chelsea ( 13) with Palmer (6), Nico Jackson (4), and Madueke (3) or PSG ( also 13) with Barcola (6), Dembélé (4) and Kang-in Lee (3).

League rivals Real Madrid see their attacking trio of Vinicius, Kylian Mbappe, and Rodrygo having scored 11 goals so far of which five have been penalties. Clearly, there is no comparison here, in terms of attacking numbers.

What Hansi Flick has done with this team so far is beyond remarkable. He has taken a young, inexperienced squad and made them one of the very best in Europe, at least from an attacking perspective.

The German coach will know that defensively, the club needs to step it up and become more solid in the back but it looks like Flick is willing to take the hit of conceding a few goals in a bid to outscore the opponent. Let’s wait and see how it pans out through the course of the season.
