To incorporate any more players in the current winter transfer window, FC Barcelona will have to generate a significant amount of money in its coffers.

The Catalans cannot sell any of their current players, as their squad is already quite thin, and none of the players on whom Barcelona have a share of any transfer fee have yet changed clubs.

In such a context, the only source from which the Catalans can generate some funds is the sale of Barca Studios, and SPORT has some good news for Barcelona fans in this regard.

The Spanish journal reports that the Blaugranes already have the documentation prepared to sell 49% of the assets in Barca Studios. The Catalans are already in contact with La Liga to send this documentation, and they are trying to get a green light from the league authorities as soon as possible.

Barcelona are currently in negotiations with two investment funds that are interested in acquiring these rights to Barca Studios but are yet to make a final decision on any one of these parties.

The Catalan club will get €50 million in initial payment from the finalized party, which can significantly help them with their FFP.

Once Barcelona get this money, they will have to decide on which player they want to bring in. Xavi and Deco are not entirely in line with their choice of midfielders, as the former wants a profile similar to Gavi, while the latter is looking for a defensive pivot who can replace Busquets in the squad.

The club is considering bringing one such player on a loan till the end of the season, with the option of extending this loan for the next season as well. However, a full transfer is also not fully ruled out, and it remains to be seen which approach the club will take in the coming days.
