FC Barcelona have quite an important match waiting for them tomorrow as they face Rayo Vallecano in their next La Liga match at the Montjuic.

While normally this would have been just another difficult match against one of the surprise teams in La Liga, the factor that makes this tie even more special is that a win in this game can allow the Blaugranes to get back at the top of the league table, as both Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid dropped points last night.

However, as has normally the case, getting the win against Rayo will not really be easy for the Catalans. But the omens going into this game have been rather good, and the latest piece of good news for Barcelona was the return of Ronald Araujo to the last training session ahead of this game.

As SPORT has reported, the Uruguayan centre-back trained normally with the rest of the group on Sunday and thus will be available for the game on Monday.

Araujo had to be subbed out of the match against Sevilla after he suffered a heavy blow to the ankle. Medical tests after the game confirmed that there was no serious injury suffered by the defender, but the discomfort still kept him out of action for a couple of days.

In fact, he was unable to train on Thursday and Friday, after the team enjoyed three days of rest following the match against Sevilla. Yesterday, he returned to the training ground but completed only part of the session. Today, he was able to train normally for the full length of the session.

However, he will not be starting the game against Rayo, especially as Flick will not be looking to risk him when he already has the likes of Inigo Martinez, Pau Cubarsi, and Eric Garcia to cover the centre of the defence.

Hopefully, he will be able to participate in the games following this tie, but it remains to be seen whether Flick will have him as a starting centre-back going forward.
