Barcelona coach branded ‘world-class’ by €45m player following Getafe win

BARCELONA, SPAIN - SEPTEMBER 25: Hansi Flick, Head Coach of FC Barcelona, shakes hands with Jules Kounde of FC Barcelona following the teams' victory during the La Liga EA Sports match between FC Barcelona and Getafe CF at Camp Nou on September 25, 2024 in Barcelona, Spain.

Yet another victory came for FC Barcelona in La Liga as the Catalan giants maintained their perfect record. This time around, however, it was seemingly a bigger test for their relentlessness rather than their scoring ability. Hansi Flick’s Barcelona managed to prevail again against one of La Liga’s most annoying defensive setups.

With a tight 1-0 victory over Getafe, thanks to a goal that came through Robert Lewandowski finishing off a chance created by Jules Kounde, the Catalan giants now have 21 points from their first seven La Liga outings. However, even this will not be enough despite the fact that it is one of Barça’s strongest League starts in years.

While the players continue to help elevate this team to a new level with many individuals capable of turning the tide of any game on its head, a lot of praise must simultaneously go to Hansi Flick. It is ultimately the German coach who has enabled the team to operate as efficiently and effectively as it does.

Even Jules Kounde himself could not help but praise the 59-year-old German coach, as highlighted by Fabrizio Romano, and branded him as a ‘world-class coach’: “We can see since day one that Hansi Flick is a world-class coach.”

The €45m-rated Frenchman also made sure to highlight the training sessions that are being conducted by the coach and the subsequent matches as well: “We as players are enjoying the training sessions and the matches under Flick, for sure.”

For now, the only stain on an otherwise perfect record so far is the unfortunate loss against AS Monaco in the UEFA Champions League. With a limited number of games in the group phase, Barcelona will want to turn their fortunes around with the next game in UCL against Young Boys at the Lluís Companys Olympic Stadium.
