As more time continues to go by, FC Barcelona remain consistent under Hansi Flick so far this season. Despite some frustrating injury woes, the Catalan giants have undeniably managed to hold their ground well. Fortunately enough for Barcelona, however, their sidelined players are also gradually making their way back.

The likes of Lamine Yamal, Dani Olmo, Frenkie de Jong, Gavi, and several others have gradually made their return from various injuries over the course of this ongoing season. Moving forward, however, a certain Uruguayan defender is now expected to be the next player to make his own return.

Ronald Araujo, now formally back in team training and competing with the rest of his teammates at their own match-fit intensity, is expected to be back in a matchday squad soon. However, as highlighted by Mundo Deportivo, it will not be in the next game after all.

During his recent press conference, Hansi Flick revealed the actual dates by when Barcelona fans can expect Araujo to be back in action for the club again:

“He won’t be available tomorrow. Maybe he’ll play against Dortmund, but our goal is to have him ready for the Leganés match. It’s not easy to include him in every game since the team is doing well. I’m thrilled with today’s training session, focusing on tomorrow’s game.”

While many would have loved to have seen Araujo back on the pitch as soon as possible, Flick’s methods have proven to be effective so far. By being as cautious and careful as possible, the German coach has managed to minimize the chances of his players getting injured and simultaneously improve their recoveries as well.

Against Real Betis, however, it seems like Flick will continue to rely on his trusted partnership of Inigo Martinez and Pau Cubarsi. The two Spaniards have been sensational so far this season, and there is really no reason for the Barcelona coach to doubt their quality moving forward. Moreover, he also confirmed in the same press conference that two of his star forwards will be starting the game as well.
