FC Barcelona continue to make advancements in the summer transfer window and despite the fact that several targets have already made their way to the Catalan club, it appears that Barcelona may not have had their final say just yet.
The case of Portuguese Manchester City fullback Joao Cancelo remains very much on track for La Blaugrana, but earlier it seemed that a possible homecoming for a particular Brazilian superstar may have become too far-fetched for Barcelona to consider.
However, according to Spanish journalists Roger Torello and Fernando Polo through Mundo Deportivo, there may yet be a final twist to ensure in the Neymar Jr and FC Barcelona saga that seemed impossible not too long ago.
According to MD, Barcelona have reactivated a final attempt for Neymar Jr rather ‘strongly’ and could look to hypothetically finalize an agreement that would see Neymar Jr arrive to Barcelona for a year before then departing to Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal for three years.
As it stands according to several sources, the 31-year-old Brazilian is set to complete a move to the Middle Eastern club from current Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain for a fee that remains undisclosed exactly but is rumored to be above €60 million.
The chances of this operation that the Catalan club is reportedly willing to pursue in order to bring Neymar Jr to Spain still seem unlikely given the advancements on the other front, but given that the player’s own priority lies within playing in Europe and particularly for Barcelona, there is a possibility that the operation could come to fruition.
