As FC Barcelona continue their pursuit of acquiring talents at a cost-effective price, they may just have hit the jackpot. With the obvious ongoing attempts to bring Lionel Messi back to the Catalan club, it seems that the club may also have the availability of three other forwards they could bring in together simultaneously.
The three forwards in question are Barcelona product and current loanee at CA Osasuna, Abde Ezzalzouli, ex-Barcelona player and current Chelsea man, Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang, and current Atletico Madrid winger, Yannick Carrasco.
As per Mundo Deportivo, should FC Barcelona end up selling the likes of Raphinha, Ansu Fati, and Ferran Torres in the summer, names that have individually brought in sizeable offers as it stands, they could choose to go for the prior mentioned trio of attackers at a substantially low cost.
Ez Abde would simply be returning from his loan at CA Osasuna following a particularly strong season. His arrival would be free of cost, and Barcelona would be receiving the services of a much more complete player than he was during his first season with FC Barcelona’s first team.
Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang would also be free of cost, as he wishes to end his contract with Chelsea and would arrive as a free agent while also reducing his current salary to join La Blaugrana. His arrival would add depth to both the wing and center forward positions.
Lastly, Yannick Carrasco would be brought in from Atletico Madrid. While a €15 million price is expected to be the amount FC Barcelona end up paying for him, it is reported that Mateu Alemany has assured Xavi that he will bring in the Belgian winger for €10 million.
Conclusively, the margins of profit should FC Barcelona sell their current trio of forwards and replace them with this new low-cost trio would be massive. It remains to be seen if the Catalans are even willing to go to such extremes, but should economic matters become dire, they may have to consider it.
