Despite scoring an unfortunate own goal in favor of Real Madrid, the Uruguayan defender managed to keep his composure throughout the 90 minutes and helped Barcelona clinch the victory against Los Blancos.
However, as per the latest reports from Mundo Deportivo, Ronald Araujo finished the game against Real Madrid with some discomfort in the adductor muscles of his both legs. The report further claimed that he had ice applied to the area where he felt the discomfort.
The Uruguayan defender will undergo medical evaluation today to determine the extent of the potential injury and the duration of the recovery period keeping in mind that he has been called up to play the upcoming international friendlies with the Uruguayan National Team.
If the medical tests performed by Barcelona reveal an injury or risk of injury, the Catalan club will speak with the Uruguayan national team’s officials to find the best possible solution to ensure the full fitness of their star defender ahead of the final stretch of the season.
