The operation that sees FC Barcelona transfer 26-year-old French winger Ousmane Dembele to Ligue 1 outfit Paris Saint-Germain is taking longer than expected and continues to still be in the middle of being made official.
According to various sources, the most recent of which is French journalist Santi Aouna, it appears that FC Barcelona is delaying the process of documentation being finalized for the transfer of the French winger on purpose.
As per the French journalist’s report, Barcelona are delaying the finalization of Dembele’s departure in order to buy time as they expect another offer to be on its way from Saudi Arabia.
Within recent speculation, it is believed that Middle Eastern side Al-Hilal would be willing to offer both Ousmane Dembele and FC Barcelona a much more lucrative package as compared to the offer and payment that PSG are willing to extend.
Reportedly, Al-Hilal are offering the French winger €100 million per year alongside an additional €50 million in commissions to his agent and representatives if the transfer of the 26-year-old ends up taking place.
Moreover, they have simultaneously also offered Barcelona a higher transfer fee than that offered by PSG, out of which the Catalan club would only be getting to keep close to 50% due to the existence of a particular clause in the contract of Ousmane Dembele.
At the moment however, it appears that the French winger is not in favour of this move to the Middle East and continues to reject any and all advances by Al-Hilal as his intent lies within joining the Parisian outfit in Ligue 1.
It seems to be only a matter of time before the French winger does end up completing his move from FC Barcelona to PSG if things stay the same. Following a six-year stay at the Catalan club that included both ups and downs, it seems that the Frenchman is on his way out of the club sooner rather than later.
