FC Barcelona has been thriving under the leadership of Hansi Flick so far this season. The Catalan giants remain one of Europe’s most dominant and fun-to-watch teams without a doubt. However, there has been one particular month where Barcelona demonstrated their best qualities better than in any other month.
Over the course of the previous month of October, Barcelona ended up having a perfect record. They played five games throughout the month, including matches against the likes of BSC Young Boys, Deportivo Alaves, Sevilla, Bayern Munich, and Real Madrid, and ended up victorious in all of those games.
However, it was not just the fact that they won those games either, but the way in which they won. Across those five games, the Catalan club scored an impressive total of 21 goals, and ended up conceding just twice in the entirety of the month of October.
The two victories over Bayern Munich (4-1), and Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu (4-0) were possibly the two biggest highlights of the month. By completely thrashing two of Europe’s biggest clubs in successive games, La Blaugrana showcased exactly the kind of threat they pose this season.
Moreover, in the very same month, the long-awaited return of Gavi also came along. After having been sidelined for almost a year with an ACL injury, the La Masia gem and former Golden Boy winner also ended up returning to the field and had cameos all month long.
As a result of this extraordinary month for Barcelona, the club saw a lot of success on the pitch and in terms of Hansi Flick’s overall repute. However, there was success for the club even away from the field as they ended up achieving a rather notable social media record as well.
According to the information shared by Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona ended up reaching 779 million views on social media app Tiktok over the course of October. This significant figure is one that no other sports club has ever managed to reach on that particular platform, which just so happens to be one of the biggest of its kind.
To put in a comparison, Real Madrid reached a total of 146 million views in the same month, as per MD. However, this turned out to be the second consecutive month in which Barcelona outperformed their Clasico rivals in their particular regard when it came to that same social media application.
Even in the month of September, Barcelona ended up reaching a total of 275 million views. Real Madrid, on the other hand, managed a total of 170 million. While this difference of more than 100 million views is already significant, Barça’s record in October on the other hand completely blows Madrid out of the water.
