Barcelona eyeing 19-years-old Las Palmas attacking midfielder

One of the players that FC Barcelona have been scouting for a long time now is Las Palmas’ Alberto Moleiro. New reports from SPORT now claim that a meeting has already taken place between the representatives of FC Barcelona and Las Palmas for the transfer of the player.

As already reported, FC Barcelona’s new transfer strategy puts an increased emphasis on signing young players with high potential when they are still less costly. The fact that Pedri was also bought from Las Palmas provides further optimism to the FC Barcelona executives that they will be able to sign another promising youngster from Las Palmas. However, this new operation is different and more difficult than the one to sign Pedri.

One of the major barriers is the asking price from Las Palmas, who had already demanded €10 million upfront and €15 million in variables, which was rejected by the Catalan club.

The current release clause of the player is €30 million, which can rise further to €60 million if Las Palmas is able to get promoted to the first division. Other clubs like Real Madrid and Manchester City have also shown an interest in the player, but the player himself prefers a move to Camp Nou.
