FC Barcelona, like many other European giants, continues to scout the best talents that football has to offer. One particular region that has produced many of the sport’s greats is South America. For Barcelona, this is a particularly lucrative market they continue to watch.

In the hunt for a new pivot for the future, Barça’s search takes them to Brazil. Over there, a youngster by the name of Gabriel Moscardo is showcasing his talents. Courtesy of his great displays, he now has the world’s eyes on him. His talent and quality is immense, and even more, clubs are now attentive.

As highlighted by SPORT, Barcelona are now set to face direct competition from the English sides as well. Arsenal and Chelsea, both London-based clubs, are now reportedly interested in acquiring Moscardo’s services for themselves.

Only 18 years old, the young midfielder currently plies his trade for Corinthians. Given his progression, his market value is also a figure that is likely to skyrocket sooner or later. With the interest that his meteoric rise has sparked, the midfielder is hailed as one of the most promising talents on the planet.

His performances for Corinthians are seen as being extremely influential for the team despite his tender age. Contracted to the Brazilian side until 2026, the new elections for the presidency in the club could be crucial in dictating how future negotiations for his transfer can go.

Apart from Chelsea and Arsenal, however, Italian side AC Milan and Premier League side Liverpool are also intrigued by the player. The longer this sage goes on, the harder it becomes for Barcelona to compete with teams that undoubtedly have more financial muscle than them.

Despite this possible summer target, Barcelona remains aware of their own talents. From within the academy and subsidiary, many youngsters continue to emerge. Players like Marc Casado, Marc Bernal, and Pau Prim are also seen as excellent prospects for the future.
