Undoubtedly, FC Barcelona aspires to make a strong impression both domestically and on the European stage this season. The Catalan giants have long since awaited their chance to shine again on the continental stage, and this season could be a great opportunity to do so.

Recent campaigns have seen La Blaugrana falter in the Champions League. Despite being one of the most recognized and decorated clubs in the competition, their displays in recent memory have been forgettable.

For this exact reason, the upcoming clash against FC Porto will be monumental. Barcelona will want to retain their top spot in Group H and a win over Porto would all but confirm qualification into the knockout stages of the competition.

However, it seems that fans of the Portuguese side realize the importance as well. According to SPORT, all of the away tickets that Porto is allowed to sell to the fans traveling to Montjuic have been sold out within a few hours.

2700 is the number of tickets being reported as the allocated amount by Barcelona. With all of these sold out, Portuguese sources are suggesting that many more fans are also expected to travel to Barcelona. Despite the understandable importance of the game, Barça can not tolerate another ‘Eintracht Frankfurt’ case.

Last year in April, when Barça took on the German side in the Europa League, the Camp Nou was left bathed in white. The away fans had flocked to Barcelona and on that fateful night, one that made Barça taste defeat both on and off the field, there were close to or perhaps even beyond 30,000 Frankfurt fans in the Camp Nou itself.

An image that could still haunt anyone associated with Barcelona, it is best left unsaid why La Blaugrana will not tolerate another incident like that. Measures will need to be strict and fans of Barcelona will need to show their support in the best possible way.
