Barcelona find one reason to believe against Napoli – report

The result against Mallorca was hardly one that excites those who follow FC Barcelona. The Blaugranes are still struggling to find their footing, but the recent display was hardly something that they can rejoice over. A hard-fought victory with just one goal was all that Barcelona could muster.

Beyond just that game, it becomes a chain of worry heading into their next clash. A direct contest against Napoli awaits Barcelona at the Montjuic Stadium up next, and it is one where they can not allow failure. However, the team did not show close to anything worth being hopeful about against Mallorca to take into the next game.

Yet, if there is reason to dream and hope for Barcelona, it arrives in a very unorthodox package. As highlighted by SPORT, the one factor that lets Barça still hope for better and more is a certain 16-year-old winger who seems to have the world at his feet at the moment.

Lamine Yamal, almost single-handedly, delivered all three points to Barcelona in the last game. While there were other notable performers, specifically Pau Cubarsi, it was Yamal’s extraordinary goal that allowed Barcelona to come away with the points they needed from the match.

The winger’s existence continues to be the beacon that Barcelona so desperately needed this season. His growth from within the club’s youth development and subsidiary sides is what keeps the Barcelona brand as alive as it is today.

Even in the face of a revolutionized market, the youth prodigies of Barcelona continue to stand out. Irrespective of their financial difficulties, the Catalan giants manage to remain relevant all thanks to their own homegrown players. In more ways than one, Lamine Yamal has become the blueprint of what Barcelona must return to being.

His goal, beyond just the importance, was a thing of beauty as well. The art of the game that made Barcelona what it is, the flow and outrageousness of their plays, is something the young pearl embodies. The collective gasp and cheer of the Montjuic Stadium at his wonder goal will continue to be cherished, as special things are now expected of this very special player.
