Barcelona gem continues to amaze with his goal-scoring form

Barcelona possesses a pool of upcoming stars unlike no other, and their young gems in development continue to flourish across the world. A certain young star tipped to be the next big thing at FC Barcelona is certainly living up to the hype, with what was yet another fantastical performance.

15-year-old Lamime Yamal is hailed as a prodigy amongst the current crop of upcoming La Masia players and developing talents. A left-footed wizard who primarily operates from the right wing but also can be referred to as playing methodically, his dribbling, awareness of the game, and clinical finishing make him quite the valuable asset to have for his youth-level coaches.

Regularly playing amongst and against players above his own age, he is currently in Hungary with the Spanish Under 17s as they compete in the age group’s European Championship currently going on in Hungary.

In their most recent game, Spain managed to come away with a 1-1 draw against Serbia, with the singular point enough to assure Spain as group leaders from amongst their unique selection of opponents. Moreover, the 1-1 draw was all courtesy of one Lamine Yamal himself, whose goal would be the outright difference maker.

Scoring an absolute stunner of a goal from outside the box, by cutting onto his left foot and smashing a curling effort in the far post, the player was the difference maker between that one point or achieving no points whatsoever. This marks the youngster’s second goal in the tournament coupled with his singular assist.

With 7 points to their name as of right now, Spain is expectedly going to be facing Ireland’s Under 17s in the upcoming quarter-finals of the European Championship. The Spanish national team will be looking to go all the way into this tournament and mark their own history in the competition.
