There are a lot of reasons that have created much excitement for FC Barcelona next season. Unsurprisingly, the most obvious reasons are centered around the new appointments that the club has made. For Barcelona, a step in the right direction first comes through the arrival of a new structure.

Beyond just the appointment of Hansi Flick as the new Barcelona head coach, the Catalan club is looking to sign new players that could improve the overall team as well. However, another key reason that is giving a lot of hope and excitement to Barça for next season is related to Camp Nou.

Currently under construction, Barcelona have been awaiting the reconstruction of their home while playing at the Montjuic Stadium. However, it appears that the wait to return to the Spotify Camp Nou will not be much longer given the latest hint provided by one of the players themselves.

Several key figures from Barcelona recently went to the construction site of Camp Nou. This delegation included new coach Hansi Flick, club president Joan Laporta, director Deco, and three players from the first team.

One of them was the record-breaking Spanish hero Lamine Yamal, alongside two Golden Boy award winners Gavi and Pedri. In the latest update provided by the latter through his Instagram (h/t Barca Times), the message about returning to the Camp Nou was clear:

“Not much left until we get back home.”

At the moment, the club is working on increasing the overall size of the stadium, while increasing the number of supporters that it can hold and also modernizing the look of the iconic and historic stadium. Either by the end of this year or the start of 2025, there is optimism about Barcelona returning to their home stadium.

For now, the beginning of the 2024/2025 campaign is expected to take place in the Montjuic Stadium. However, Barcelona will not want to stay there for too much longer given the amount of revenue they are having to give up by not playing in Camp Nou.
