Barcelona are now more than ready to face the challenge of making elite signings. While the Catalan club may not be back at their full capability just yet, there is at least hope and belief that some normality has been found. Barcelona has strived for this constantly, and they now have their chance.

With this new-found sense of stability and ability, Barça will go on the hunt in the transfer window. At the moment, they are prioritizing the arrival of a new top-level left-winger, and the name that has been sounded more often than any other name is that of Nico Williams.

Already publicly confirmed as a target by Barcelona president Joan Laporta, many reports have stated that the club wants to pursue his signing with everything they have. Fortunately for La Blaugrana, a very positive variety of updates continues to come out.

Now, according to Mundo Deportivo, the newest updates suggest that everything is in place for the signing of the Athletic Club winger for Barcelona. In every single aspect that has to be considered, the team from Catalonia has their tracks covered.

When it comes to the €58 million release clause, Barcelona president Joan Laporta have already confirmed the club’s ability to match it. Moreover, the sustainability of the club is now in a healthy position and La Blaugrana can actively pursue to pay the Spanish star’s release clause.

Secondly, the player’s personal terms are something that MD reports have also been worked on. Barça will look to offer the 21-year-old winger a contract similar to the one that Robert Lewandowski is on. This means a deal that will see Williams earn less in his initial years at the club but more afterwards.

At the moment, Barcelona are reportedly willing to offer the Athletic Club superstar a five-year deal. This deal would include an increasing salary that kicks in during the third year of his stay at the Catalan club, and it would see him be obligated to Barça until 2029.

The only thing that is left for Barcelona to do now is to wait. After the conclusion of the European Championship, the club wants to unite Lamine Yamal and Nico Williams in the Blaugrana colors. They have already set Europe on fire with their excellent performances at the Euros, and Barça now wants to recreate that partnership at the club.
