The upcoming games for FC Barcelona will be a true test of their mettle right after the international break. La Blaugrana currently maintain their place on top of the La Liga table but any less-than-ideal result could topple them instantly. As such, Hansi Flick’s Barcelona side remains on high alert ahead of some crucial encounters.

However, before the Catalan giants can face Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League or Real Madrid in La Liga, they will have to face off against Sevilla first. That game will take place in the Montjuic Stadium and it would be a great return fixture right after the international break concludes.

Fortunately for Barcelona, it will also be a game that is expected to mark the return of several injured key players for Hansi Flick’s team. Their participation in that game remains uncertain for now, but the club has reportedly already planned the minutes for one of the returning players when it comes to his participation against Sevilla.

According to Javi Miguel, 26-year-old Dani Olmo is expected to make his return against Sevilla, and Barcelona are currently expected to let him play around 20 minutes in that game. They do not wish to overexert him and it will likely be a precautionary move by Hansi Flick.

Moreover, the player is expected to take part in the team’s group training sessions in the coming days and his return to the matchday squad is not expected to be delayed any longer. Given the quality that he possesses, it will be a massive boost for Hansi Flick’s team.

Against Bayern Munich and Real Madrid, however, the club could gradually increase the minutes that he gets to play. Reports have already suggested in the past that the club plans to give him around half a match against the Bavarian side and possibly start him against Los Blancos at the Santiago Bernabeu.

With three goals in three games so far, Olmo’s start to life back in Barcelona looked sensational. He has missed all the games since his last appearance against Girona, but it is expected that he will return as a key player for the team thanks to the unique set of skills he brings to the attack and balance of Hansi Flick’s team.
