FC Barcelona will be hoping to take part in a pre-season tour of the United States of America similar to the one they had before the start of the 2022/2023 campaign. The team is expecting to play a handful of games ranging from 3-4 matches during the tour.
The dates thus far being reported to have been finalized are from July 19 to July 30th, 2023, similar to the previous season’s dates from July 16 to July 31st, 2022 as per the reports from SPORT.
FC Barcelona will be hoping to set up camp in a different location this time around, however, as their previous camps saw them having to travel a lot for every subsequent game. This time, they are expected to mirror what Real Madrid did for their own preseason tour in the USA last time around, setting up camp on the West Coast.
The El Clasico fixture between the two Spanish sides last preseason at the Allegiant Stadium, located in Las Vegas, Nevada, was met with huge success. A number of around 65000 fans filled the venue and the atmosphere was electric, despite the game by officiality being simply a friendly.
Both sides will be hoping to replicate that success from last year and it is a likely scenario that a repeat El Clasico friendly happen at the very same venue. La Blaugrana will be hoping to return to Spain promptly after July 30th, to prepare for the commencement of the official La Liga season which would start around the 12th of August.
FC Barcelona are also hoping to finalize a date for their annual Joan Gamper trophy before the league season starts as well, to allow the players another traditional challenge to prepare for a demanding season ahead.
