FC Barcelona have been keeping an eye out for market opportunities as much as possible. Whether it be in Spain or abroad, the Catalan giants consider any good window of opportunity to be one that should be looked into. However, that does not mean that Barcelona have always had success with this strategy.

Reportedly, they previously tried to sign a certain Portuguese midfielder named Dario Essugo. Currently signed for Portuguese side Sporting CP, the last attempt made by the Catalan club ended up being rejected by his parent club due to the structure not being to their liking.

It was initially a proposal that saw Barcelona want the 19-year-old midfielder to join on a loan deal that would ultimately have an option to purchase attached to it by the end of the season. Unfortunately for the Catalan club, that particular loan deal did not suit the Portuguese side.

Instead, the player is now playing his football at UD Las Palmas this season to get some experience at the top level. Due to his impressive displays, however, it is being reported by Mundo Deportivo that Barcelona is once again interested in his services and may opt to pursue him once again.

Reportedly, the club sees the young player as a very talented youngster and someone that Barcelona could recruit to make him a long-term acquisition. Due to his age and his style of play, he still has a lot of years left to give in football and La Blaugrana would love to have his quality help the team.

However, he is not the only young player whose performances in Spain have attracted the Catalan giants. Over at Malaga, there is yet another promising winger whose quality has managed to attract both Barcelona and Real Madrid at the same time as well. It remains to be seen what happens in either of these two cases, however, given the kind of quality that Barça already has available.
