Barcelona introduce new blood in the Champions League

FC Barcelona have played more than half of the current season, and are now in the decisive phase of the 2023-24 season. The Catalans can hope to win the two major trophies this year, as they are still in contention for La Liga and Champions League.

The club has definitely improved its results in this latter tournament, as Xavi was able to guide his team to the knock-out rounds of the Champions League after the Blaugranes failed to advance from the group stage in the last two editions of the premier European tournament.

Now, Barcelona have a match against Napoli awaiting them in the Round of 16 of this competition. The club has made some changes in their squad for the second part of this competition, and three more players have been added, Vitor Roque, Unai Hernandez, and Pau Victor. The total number of players in the squad has gone up to 39 now.

Meanwhile, Fermin Lopez, who has gotten into the first team and switched to number 16 in La Liga, will retain his number 32 in the Champions League. This also happened with Gavi in the last season. The full squad announced by Barcelona for the Champions League knock-out stage is as follows:
