FC Barcelona consider the scouting of promising youngsters as a key development objective. La Blaugrana have long since been known for their ability to scout as well as develop talents to their best possible level. Recent years have seen this quality be amplified even further, especially due to their financial troubles.
For now, it seems that Barcelona may have just found yet another young pearl to pursue. This particular youngster hails from Brazil but has already seen many parts of the world. In the eyes of Barcelona, he could be a great investment moving forward.
Brazilians from around the world
The player in question is none other than 14-year-old Guilherme Ruck, as presented by SPORT. Born in Brazil, the young South American pearl first achieved success when he moved to Portugal.
Aged just seven, he represented both Vitoria S.C. and Braga in the European country. He also briefly played for Porto, but without much success.
Now, the player continues to defend and represent the colors of Real Valladolid. From the closure of 2021 all the way to now, the Brazilian wonderkid has impressed with the Spanish side. This emergence in Spain has led to several clubs, both from the country itself and abroad, wanting to sign him up.
El Clasico rivals keen
Among his two suitors from Spain are FC Barcelona and Real Madrid. The Catalans have recently emerged as new potential suitors.
However, Los Blancos have been keeping tabs on the player since quite some time now. Despite their interest, negotiations have been slow due to various differences between the club and the player’s entourage.
Other teams interested in the player include the likes of PSG, and Brazilian sides Cruzeiro, Palmeiras, and Flamengo. His future, for now, remains up in the air. However, if Barcelona do intend to get their hands on this midfield prodigy, they will need to act fast.
Their limited economic resources coupled with other teams having a head start puts them in an unfavorable position. Hence, in order to compete for his signature, Barcelona will need to show urgency.
