Joao Felix is still a target for FC Barcelona despite the Catalan club not having much time to wrap up his signing before the summer transfer window closes.
The Portuguese forward is highly likely to leave Atletico Madrid this summer, as his relationship with the club, coach Diego Simeone, and the fans has reached rock bottom in the last few weeks. However, Barcelona is not the only destination where Felix can head this summer.
Saudi club trying to sign another star footballer
With only a few days left, the summer transfer market is in full swing currently. The Saudi clubs have been particularly active in this transfer window, after massive investments from the Saudi government aimed at promoting football in the Middle Eastern country.
Saudi clubs have already signed some of the most noteworthy names in the world of football, but their business does not seem to have concluded yet. One Saudi club, Al-Ittihad, is trying to sign another world-class player, this time the Liverpool winger, Mo Salah.
While Liverpool currently consider their talisman to be non-transferable, reports from England claim that the Merseyside club and the Egyptian will reach an agreement soon.
Joao Felix being considered by Liverpool
If Liverpool are able to complete the operation for Salah in the coming days, they will still have enough time to get his replacement in this summer transfer window.
According to the Spanish publication, Mundo Deportivo, the main candidate for the Merseyside team to replace their potentially departing forward is the Barcelona-linked forward, Joao Felix. Liverpool have already initiated talks for his signature, and can offer €70-80 million for the forward, a sum which can tempt Atletico Madrid to sell the forward as soon as possible.
Felix’s future is still highly uncertain, with several clubs, including Barcelona and Liverpool, contending for his signature. However, the player has already publicly declared his preference for FC Barcelona in a recent interview, and the Catalans remain the favourites to get the Portuguese forward signed this summer.
