Many of the players currently away from Barcelona on loan are shining with their respective sides. In the hunt for minutes, some players often even manage to find new homes where they feel welcome and appreciated. However, in such cases, Barcelona themselves can also find different kinds of positives.

A player unwanted with one side but thriving with another on loan can become a valuable asset. A possible rise in value could lead to a higher transfer fee for them on a permanent basis. For a financially struggling side like Barcelona, any kind of bonus could be a significant addition.

For this reason, the recent improvement in the career of Sergino Dest is quite exciting for Barcelona. Currently with PSV in the Netherlands on loan, Mundo Deportivo has highlighted a recent moment of his brilliance.

With his side playing in the UEFA Champions League against Arsenal on the final Matchday in their group, Dest was originally benched. This decision was taken due to there being nothing really at stake in the game. Both sides had a solidified standing within the group and the result would have not really changed much.

However, Dest was introduced later in the game around the 74th minute. Not too long after, he produced an instance of elegance. With the ball stationary at his feet, the American fullback took on Arsenal defender Kiwior and used an effective elastico that also went right through the legs of the Arsenal player.

He followed that up with a cross towards the centre but no one was there to take advantage. However, that earlier move saw the excited reaction of the PSV players on the bench when Dest pulled it off. With these growing performances, the American has established himself as a regular with PSV.

The match ended in a 1-1 draw that sees Dest and PSV end the group stage as second in Group B. This, in turn, means that he could even potentially face off against Barcelona in the Champions League Round of 16. That prospect will in itself be an exciting one for both Barcelona and their loanee.
