This subject was discussed during the meeting of the club’s directors yesterday. This operation can be finalized in a matter of days, and its successful completion will bring in a significant amount of money to the Blaugrana coffers.
In fact, the Catalans had been looking to exploit this unused asset since the last year. This space has never been used by Barcelona, but with their problems with FFP and income generation, getting a new sponsor for this space makes a lot of sense.
If this new sponsor is engaged, it will go a long way in facilitating some of the Catalan club’s moves in the market. The Blaugranes are looking to get their top target Nico Williams by paying his release clause and offering him a significant amount of money.
Similarly, they are also looking to sign a midfield pivot. This position is also a high priority for Flick as he wants to play with a double-pivot system next season. Mikel Merino is currently the most likely candidate for this role at Barcelona.
