FC Barcelona enter the final days of the summer transfer window this year with their biggest ongoing dilemma being the urgency to register players already in the squad before the first La Liga game of the 2023/2024 season against Getafe.
However, with the confirmed sales of 26-year-old French winger Ousmane Dembele to Ligue 1 outfit Paris Saint-Germain having now been made official, and that of Ivorian midfielder Franck Kessie to Al-Ahli has provided Barcelona with more leeway in terms of salary margins and economic control.
Moreover, with the injection of additional funds from the closing of the operation concerning Barca Vision having been officially confirmed as well, FC Barcelona now believe themselves to be in a much better economic state to proceed with registrations.
Now, as per Spanish outlet SPORT, Barcelona will look to register three more players within the records of La Liga today. The three players in question are Moroccan winger Ez Abde, Barcelona first captain Sergi Roberto, and new arrival Oriol Romeu.
The news of these three players that Barcelona will now look to register comes after the official registration of both Uruguayan central defender Ronald Araujo and German midfielder Ilkay Gundogan has been completed not too long ago following reports suggesting that the club was looking at those two to register first and foremost.
With the La Liga opener for Barcelona coming up against Getafe on Sunday, the Catalan giants hope to have as much of their team available at Xavi Hernandez’s disposal as possible.
The case of new defensive recruit Inigo Martinez however, may be prolonged a bit more given that he is still recovering from an injury and his registration would not be meaningful at the moment consequently.
