Barcelona veteran and captain Sergio Busquets has found renewed form and importance under Xavi Hernandez and continues to be an important piece in the puzzle of the Blaugrana midfield.
Yet despite his rather advanced age, his undoubtable quality as a player to this date has become the attraction of many clubs who would like to acquire his services, and FC Barcelona are amongst them, although in their case it is more about retention of services rather than acquisition.
The La Masia graduate and current Barcelona Captain has multiple offers as per the reports from Mundo Deportivo, chief amongst them belonging to teams from the United States and Saudi Arabia. The offers from the United States reportedly originate from Toronto and Inter Miami, with the latter being Busquets’s preference between the two.
In the case of Saudi Arabia, Mundo Deportivo reports of offers from clubs such as Al-Hilal, who are also reportedly interested in Lionel Messi, as well as Al-Nassr, who famously signed Cristiano Ronaldo as well recently. Lastly, there is also interest from Al-Shabab according to the same report.
FC Barcelona themselves have also sent a renewal proposal to Sergio Busquets and are awaiting his decision upon it. As it stands, the captain would only be staying in Europe as a Barcelona player, and would not want to stay within the continent as a rival to Barcelona in any form or medium whatsoever.
