Competition continues to exist within the realms of FC Barcelona, which consequently means there are those who will flourish and those who watch from the shadows. While the team has managed to secure the La Liga title, some players had a greater role than others.
20-year-old Pablo Torre has found himself on the very outskirts of the first team following his move from Racing Santander last summer. The youngster came bearing a solid repute and a strong season prior to joining Barcelona.
Now having had more of an influence with Barca Atletic than the Barcelona first team, things are not moving as most had envisioned for the youngster. With a meager 120 minutes across 7 La Liga outings being all that he was afforded in the league under Xavi Hernandez, his future at the club seems uncertain.
As reported by SPORT, the player could now present himself with two opportunities to showcase his quality through the next two outings where he will likely end up getting some minutes. There always exists the chance that he does not, but given the number of absentees from the game, there is a solid chance the player does get more minutes in.
The upcoming game against Celta Vigo, in which the player finds himself included in the squad list, will be a good first test for the youngster before the Catalan club makes their journey abroad and take on Barcelona legend Andres Iniesta’s Vissel Kobe in Japan.
Despite his own wishes to succeed at Barcelona next season, the Catalan club thinks it best to see him leave on loan to a First Division side, so that he continues to develop at the highest possible level. The report further indicates that Villarreal are among the clubs willing to acquire his services.
