Barcelona open to listening to offers for 20-year-old star – report

Barcelona youngster Ansu Fati

FC Barcelona are currently at a stage in the summer transfer window where every operation they undertake must be viewed through an economic lens. This approach is necessary to deduce and infer the economic benefits while simultaneously assessing the feasibility of each operation.

The ruling of Financial Fair Play and those of the regulations of La Liga have both managed to limit Barcelona to an extreme extent during this summer transfer window and many of the Catalan club’s priority targets have thus been next to unattainable.

However, as per Spanish outlet SPORT, Barcelona believe they can create a rather substantial margin to operate in the window if they manage to offload 20-year-old talent Ansu Fati, as Barcelona are believed to be open to listening to offers for the young star.

The Catalan club insist to Fati’s entourage that they are going to be open to offers and will have to assess the economic benefits of his sale to the club as La Blaugrana believe the young star could attract sizeable offers for his services.

While the Barcelona player continues to emphasize that his own intention is to stay and this has been conveyed to his agent Jorge Mendes as well, Barcelona are still at a crossroads in regards to the future of the player.

It seems very likely, as per the report, that further meetings between Xavi Hernandez and Ansu Fati will take place, which could dictate his future.

Barcelona are well aware of the explosive potential of the young star. However, on the other hand, they have already received a €50 million offer from a Premier League club, according to various sources.

Moreover, further interest from other English sides, as well as from Saudi Arabia, continues to persist regarding the signature of the youngster.

Ansu Fati himself is aware of the problems that may arise for him next season in terms of game time particularly if Barcelona manage to acquire Neymar Jr, who continues to be linked to the club over the past weeks and the operation may be advancing well at the moment.
