FC Barcelona continue to search the transfer market in terms of a great opportunity. One area that the Catalan club hopes to govern is the market of defenders in Europe with great projections. For this reason, Barcelona continues to keep its eyes and ears open to any and all players making waves.

Ronald Araujo is already present within the grasp of La Blaugrana. The Uruguayan defender is heralded by many as being among the very best in Europe, and Barcelona consider him a captain as well. However, there is a certain name that Barça believe holds a similar projection.

As highlighted by Mundo Deportivo, Romanian defender Radu Dragusin has recently managed to catch the eye of Barcelona. Currently playing for Serie A side Genoa over in Italy, his season thus far has surprised many. A great defender, both technically and physically, Dragusin showcases great potential.

Aged only 21, the defender has many strong years ahead of him as well. One of the most consistent and reliable performers for Genoa, his talents go beyond just his impressive physique. Standing at a mighty 1.91 meters tall, the Romanian is a clear threat in the skies both while defending and while attacking.

Moreover, as per MD, Barcelona are so convinced by the player that they even have a certain budget ready to lure him in. As per the report, Barcelona have €30 million ready to be invested in the player should the opportunity present itself. However, it seems that Genoa will not be tempted by that amount of money for now.

Across his 20 appearances thus far for Genoa this season, he has also managed to score and assist once. His progression has been so great, in fact, that a top side from the English Premier League is also interested. Tottenham Hotspur, hailing from London, is a club that hopes to rival Barcelona to become the Romanian’s future.
