FC Barcelona have not been at their best for the last few weeks. The Catalans have struggled in the last few matches to obtain results and were unable to pave their way to the knock-out round of the UEFA Champions League as they lost to Shakhtar Donetsk in their fourth group-stage match.

While the Catalans have still been able to get results in the league, there has been disappointment with the team’s performances after the overhauling of the last summer transfer window.

The Barcelona head coach, Xavi Hernandez, is feeling the pressure to come up with solutions to the team’s problems and turn around their form in the coming matches.

However, according to SPORT, the club has not started looking for any alternatives for Xavi yet, despite the head coach getting some blame for this poor run of form.

The point of looking for alternatives for Xavi has not yet been reached, and Joan Laporta’s trust in Xavi remains one of the reasons why the club is not yet considering other options for its bench.

In fact, the President has put an end to this debate at this stage. He has made it clear that Xavi is going to finish the current season, no matter the results or team’s performance.

Laporta believes Xavi is still the best coach for the first team and has full confidence that he can turn around the situation in the coming months, just as he was able to do last season. The club will analyze the team’s performance and debate on whether Xavi should be retained based on the results obtained.

Thus, Barcelona are not considering a change in the dugout for now, and Xavi will have the peace of mind to continue working at Barcelona, even if rumors and reports in the media portray his job to be in danger.
