It is a long road ahead for FC Barcelona as they look to resolve their most pressing issues. While the acquisition of new players is certainly a priority, it is not the first step they must take. For Barcelona, solving the entire dilemma of their head coach becomes the first thing they must address.

Given how much the media has pushed the idea that Xavi’s future is unsafe and no longer a guarantee, it became apparent that there was definitely something brewing behind the scenes. Despite Xavi’s words of tranquility and patience, it seems that his future is indeed now as safe as was previously thought.

However, what exactly ends up becoming of the coach remains a mystery still. That is where a new meeting comes into the picture, one that clearly makes it certain where exactly Xavi will be coaching next season, whether at FC Barcelona or would he have to end up finding a new proposal from elsewhere.

According to Mundo Deportivo, that meeting will take place after Barcelona face off against Sevilla in their final La Liga game of the season. Furthermore, while many would assume that it would be a personal and direct encounter between Xavi and Barcelona president Joan Laporta, MD believes otherwise.

As per the report, Xavi and Laporta will actually be joined by other important figures from within the club. Barcelona director Deco, vice president Rafa Yuste, and other integral members are expected to be present as well.

During this meeting, it would also reportedly be Deco’s duty to go over what Barcelona has done from a sporting perspective this season and what matches up to expectations and what does not.

However, this meeting would not be the final hearing for Xavi. Upon finishing this meeting, the members present are expected to bring up the topic with the other board of directors as well before ultimately giving a final verdict on the future of the current Barcelona head coach.
