Although youngsters like Lamine Yamal and Pau Cubarsi have taken center stage this season, some other players from the FC Barcelona youth academy are also having a season to remember.

This is certainly true for the center-forward Marc Guiu, who has shown his ability to score goals even without getting too much time on the pitch at the highest level this season.

The young forward featured for Barcelona Atletic this weekend and spoke to the media after this match. As SPORT has noted, there were some interesting comments from Guiu regarding the Barcelona first team.

Both Xavi and Lewandowski have recently clearly stated their hopes of still winning a big title this season, even with the difference they have with the league leaders, and Guiu also showed the same spirit in this interview:

“There is a league, there always is, we are focused on winning the league, we can do it. We will win something, 100%.”

Guiu has been able to feature for the Barcelona first team under Xavi Hernández this season on multiple occasions, but he still has to divide his playing time between the first team, Barcelona Atletic, and Juvenil A. However, the striker was clear that he is not being impacted by such a situation:

“I try to handle it in the best way possible and try to learn from all the coaches. The most important thing is to give everything on the field, and opportunities will come. I always try to help the team.”

The youngster was able to score once again in the last match that he played for Barcelona Atletic, and his compelling goal-scoring form may force Xavi to count on him once again in the league or the Champions League in the coming days, especially if his team is in dire need of a goal.
