For FC Barcelona, the development of their young stars is of pivotal importance. The younglings of the club have become their true trump card, and no amount of superstars signings can change that. However, the monitoring of such talents and their development is the responsibility of Barcelona.

Thus, for youngsters like Pau Cubarsi and Lamine Yamal, the club has created specific developmental plans. Knowing that each individual has their own unique needs, the Catalan club ensures that their players are taken care of in the best way possible for them.

For Yamal specifically, as highlighted by SPORT, Barcelona has created a special plan. This plan involves both physical and dietary regulations, and they help him achieve the growth that he has witnessed over the course of the last few months.

Beyond just his sporting development, which is also clear as day to see given his importance to both Barcelona and the Spanish National team, he has also grown physically. He has reportedly grown 10 centimeters over the course of the last year, and has gained a significant amount of muscle mass as well.

However, it is also essential to regulate the amount of games he plays. At the moment, this seems to be the one area where Barcelona could and should be doing much better. Unfortunately, given the growing list of injuries at the club, Xavi is forced to deploy the youngster as one of his starting players.

Even with his undeniable quality, a kind that even the best of veterans have trouble dealing with, Yamal is still just 16 years of age. He needs time to develop and grow, something neither Barcelona nor Spain are seemingly willing to give him.

However, those are the exact mistakes both teams made with the likes of Pedri and Gavi in the past. To avoid that and let Yamal continue his growth, Barcelona and the side led by Luis de la Fuente will need to be careful. This particular prodigy can mark an era for both teams, but only if he is handled with care.
