In what has been an unnervingly exhausting summer already for FC Barcelona, new updates and developments keep on coming day in and day out as the transfer window well and truly kicks off for the top European sides while they hunt for their next big arrival.
For Barcelona in particular, there are a handful of names that they have been tracing and hoping to bring in to further cement their squad for the upcoming season. The Catalan club looks particularly hopefully towards a defensive midfielder, a right back, and a particular forward that may soon become a member of the club if reports are to be believed.
According to the latest confirmation by Catalan journalist Gerard Romero as he discusses the update on his Twitch channel, new FC Barcelona Sporting Director Deco has reportedly sealed an agreement in principle with 18-year-old Turkish prodigy Arda Guler.
While the details of the confirmation are yet to be announced or further detailed, an agreement on personal terms with the Fenerbahce talent will look to serve Barcelona in a long way given that now the main concern remains to find an agreement with his club, as the player’s motivation to represent Barca becomes evident if this report is to be believed.
As was recently reported moreover, Deco has been particularly fond of this young talent and went out of his way to fly to Turkey in order to present a possible offer and come to an agreement, something the report suggests he has managed to accomplish on a personal level with the player.
There was also recent speculation that in terms of all the European interest in the player, it was Barca’s that was said to attract the player most and thus placed them as a sort of favorite to sign the 18-year-old.
Currently, one of the select few youngsters in the continent who attract much of the top-level spotlight on themselves, Arda Guler is considered to be one for the future and a player that FC Barcelona, alongside several others, would be very keen on bringing on.
