FC Barcelona are constantly working on retaining their most crucial players for the years to come. By considering their age and other sporting factors, La Blaugrana manage to plan their renewal operations in advance. While not all contract negotiations go smoothly for Barcelona, others are much easier to sort out.

Certain first team contracts are already being worked on, and for good reason. Several of the team’s most important players do not have much time left before their current deals expire, so Barcelona has made it a mission to extend their stay at the Catalan club by reaching a middle ground in the negotiations.

Fortunately for La Blaugrana, the aim to renew young players for multi year deals is still on track. Recently, as per the update provided by Alex Pintanel, Barcelona have managed to tie down yet another promising youngster knowing that his previous contract would have expired next year in the summer of 2025.

That young player is none other than 18-year-old midfielder Pau Prim. While he is not currently a regular player for the Barcelona first team, he is a guaranteed starter for Barcelona Atletic this season. With both Marc Casado and Marc Bernal mainly staying with the first team, the path to becoming a starter for the B team was cleared up for Prim this season.

Regarded by many as being one of the most promising talents in the Barcelona youth teams right now, Pau Prim is a pivot who excels at the technical aspects of the game. His composure, vision, distribution, and mobility are all just a few of the traits that make him as special as he is.

With this new extension, one that is yet to be made official by the club, Pau Prim is seen as a player with a future in the Barcelona first team. His current goal and objective remains to excel with the subsidiary, but he will definitely be keeping one eye on the first team.
