FC Barcelona are still not done with their objectives for the summer transfer window, with the club higher-ups and the coaching staff, still hoping to incorporate new additions before the end of the window. As was recently revealed by the club’s president Joan Laporta, Barcelona are still looking to make more signings.

However, the task at hand is not that simple. FC Barcelona are looking to first receive the agreed funds from Libero in exchange for a percentage of Barca Studios so that said funds can be used for registration purposes in the case of players like Inigo Martinez and Barcelona-bound fullback Joao Cancelo.

The Financial fair play that the club hopes to generate from the funds that it will receive could prove to be substantial enough in order to complete pending registrations. Yet, beyond those registrations, Barcelona have at least one more new arrival in mind as well.

According to Spanish outlet SPORT, Barcelona are hoping to find a solution that would allow them to be able to incorporate 23-year-old Atletico Madrid forward Joao Felix within the squad before the end of the window on the first of September.

As it stands, the Catalan giants wish to find an agreement where they can manage to bring in the Portuguese talent with no loan fee involved. However, to manage it even then would require Barcelona to ensure other departures as a result.

Felix’s own intentions remain clear as day given that the player has already publicly stated that he wishes to play for FC Barcelona. Moreover, he continues to wait for the Catalan club to make a move while his sour relationship with his current club and coach continues to worsen.

Several names, including those of Marcos Alonso, Eric Garcia, Clement Lenglet, and others have been reported to be potential ones that could see themselves depart from Barcelona this summer. In the scenario that they do, Barca would ideally have more of a margin to be able to work towards a conclusion to bring Felix to the Catalan club.
