Barcelona look towards the Bundesliga
According to SPORT, Barcelona remain quite attentive of the contractual situation of Leroy Sane. The German winger is currently contracted to Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich until 2025. However, the sailings for both parties are not exactly smooth.
As per the latest information, Sane and Bayern have discussed his current contractual standing. However, no form of agreement has thus far been reached. As a result, many European sides are interested about the player’s progression, including Barcelona and Real Madrid.
In-form Sane
Scoring nine goals and providing five assists in his last 17 games, Leroy Sane is currently in red-hot form. The 27-year-old still has good years left in him to give and that is why many sides are so attentive. Having previously impressed at Manchester City, he clearly knows how to play for the big dogs of Europe.
Financial problems and current stance
Moreover, Barcelona currently see that their wingers have been less than impressive. Raphinha and Ferran Torres both seem to lack in one vs ones, but Sane brings that unique utility to any squad he is in. His speed is also something a side like Barcelona could use on the wings.
As it stands, however, Barcelona has only noticed the ongoing saga. Due to their financial concerns, a direct bid for the player would be unlikely. However, since Sane shares the same agent as Marcos Alonso, Barcelona do have a link through which to keep close tabs on the forward.
