According to the latest details provided by SPORT, Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez will have his wish granted to be able to count on 21-year-old Moroccan winger Ez Abde during the pre-season tour of the United States of America, set to start on the 10th of July.
Following what has been an impressive loan spell at CA Osasuna where the player was a prominent member of the squad and gained some much-needed regular experience against top sides, having played 34 games across all competitions under the tutelage and guidance of Jagoba Arrasate.
During his time with the Pamplona-based side, the winger managed to exploit his raw talents unlike ever before. In particular, his thwarting speed and unnerving ability to unbalance opposing defenders were key in establishing his place within the starting eleven of Osasuna.
Now, while some at Barcelona believe it best to make use of this momentum in order to sell off the Moroccan player for a significant transfer fee, Xavi Hernandez remains on the other side of the thought process. The report suggests that at the moment, the Barcelona board has agreed to Xavi’s demands and will allow the player to settle in during the pre-season.
While he will get the chance to prove himself under Xavi as per speculation, there remain concerns that over the next couple of weeks, his situation is still subject to change if an appropriate offer arrives and Barcelona believe it best to offload him.
