FC Barcelona are working to simultaneously defend themselves on every front possible. The Catalan club has a lot on their plate, but they continue to work relentlessly to solve every issue of theirs. While it may be a time-consuming strategy, Barcelona are more than willing to devote themselves to it.

Beyond just signing superstars for the Barcelona first team currently headed by Hansi Flick, the club is facing other dilemmas as well. Apart from their urgent need to sell players, Barça are also working to tie down the exceptional talents that they have at the youth level to ensure the club’s sustainability.

Fortunately for Barcelona, they have made a major breakthrough in the contract talks for a certain 15-year-old pearl currently representing the Juvenil B side led by Pol Planes despite being of Cadet age. That gem would be none other than Toni Fernandez, the left-footed winger who is progressing at great speeds within Barça’s youth levels.

According to SPORT, Toni Fernandez is set to sign a new contract with FC Barcelona on the 16th of July, a day after he turns 16, and becomes legally eligible to sign a professional contract with FC Barcelona. Stated by SPORT to be the ‘sharpest left foot’ in La Masia, the player certainly possesses some great qualities.

Highlighting his left foot, however, is a must. The player possesses a special connection with the ball it seems, and has the ability to drive it however he wishes to do so. Accurate and powerful strikes are synonymous with his playing style, and it is all thanks to his prodigious left foot.

That is not all, however, as the player is also liked by his coaches for being a versatile player and a very smart footballer. His understanding of the game helped him become the league’s top scorer when he played in Cadet B, also under the guidance of Pol Planes, and he has since been irreplaceable for the coach now leading Juvenil B.

With his new three-year deal now set to be signed as his latest contract, the player is expected to play for Juvenil A next season. His ability far exceeds that of his peers and he will be seen with keen eyes even by the upper ranks within FC Barcelona.

Ensuring his continuity was a key objective for Barcelona, and they have finally sorted out the few complications that were pending. With the help of Barcelona director Deco and youth football management associate Toni Hernandez, Barça have finally managed to lock down the player’s immediate future.

Interestingly, Toni Fernandez will be signing a new contract just like his cousin, Guille Fernandez. Both of the two youngsters are seen as crucial elements for Barcelona moving forward, and signing this talented duo to new contracts is something that will give the Catalan club a lot of peace and joy.

Other sides like Manchester City, Bayer Leverkusen, and even Juventus were hoping to take away Toni Fernandez away from Barcelona. However, the player has committed himself to the Catalan club, belonging to the same city as well given that he was raised in the Zona Franca neighborhood, and he will now hope to impress the club moving forward.
