It seems that FC Barcelona do intend to actually make some moves during January. The Catalan club has been pursuing several different targets but has thus far not made any direct moves. However, as more time passes, it seems Barcelona are going to be making that move at last.

They have several exciting young talents on their agenda, but a few definitely stand out. One of the names that definitely does point out as a unique target is that of Lucas Bergvall. A talented Swedish midfielder, Barcelona have been linked to him for quite some time.

However, the issue with regular reports is that no guarantee or confirmation about the interest is present. Yet, there are few sources as reliable as that of Fabrizio Romano. According to the Italian journalist, that interest is very much real and quite advanced.

As per Fabrizio Romano’s information, Barcelona are now looking to close this deal down sooner rather than later. In fact, as per the Italian journalist, Barça are now preparing an official bid for the talented Swede and hope to close down the deal in January. However, upon closing it down, they hope to keep him in Djurgarden until the summer.

This would mean that while his signature and commitment to FC Barcelona would be guaranteed, he would not be arriving in January. He would arrive as a summer recruit after this season finds its conclusion. Moreover, Romano also confirms that the interest from Eintracht Frankfurt is also quite advanced.

However, for the player himself, FC Barcelona is the absolute priority. The Catalan project attracts him and he hopes to find his footing within Barcelona if that deal is actually possible. For Barça, this would be great news, culminating a positive end to a rather long-running saga.
