Ansu Fati was one of the Barcelona players whom the club put on the transfer market in order to create margin within the fair play confines after a rather disappointing season, during which he struggled to regain his pre-injuries form and maintain consistency.
However, despite him being out of favor at the Catalan club, the 20-year-old was firm in his decision and made it clear several times that he wants to stay at Barcelona and has no intention of moving from Catalonia to look for another club in the summer window.
After the Nations League triumph with Spain, the striker reiterated that “I have a contract with Barca and my intention is to continue improving and growing there” and is confident that he can be an important piece in Xavi’s team next season, especially after the good sensations in the final stretch of the season with Barcelona and his fruitful participation in the Nations League.
Calm about his future, Ansu is spending a few days on holiday in Miami, accompanied by his brother Braima and the former Barcelona player Ilaix Moriba.
He made it clear on his social networks that he is not waiting for any changes that may occur regarding his continuity at the Blaugrana, who are beginning to see that he will continue for at least one more year at the club as per a report from SPORT.
“Once the season is over, it’s time to rest and spend a few days with the family,” wrote Fati to accompany the post on his Instagram.
With a contract until 2027 and with a release clause of €1 billion, Ansu wants to restore the confidence of the club that bet on him and will arrive with great enthusiasm to the preseason to show that he can be a key player for the present and the future.
