FC Barcelona need to make some sales in the summer to help their financial situation. The Catalan giants already have a lot of problems with arrivals due to these limitations. However, to overcome these limitations, Barcelona will potentially need to make some less-than-ideal sales in the summer.
One of the names that was being highlighted as a major summer saga was that of Ronald Araujo. The Uruguayan defender is one of Barça’s mainstays and also one of the team captains.
His abilities are of such a high caliber that most would consider him to be among the best central defenders in world football. However, despite Bayern’s interest in him, Barcelona know how crucial he is to the team.

According to Mundo Deportivo, a player who would himself be willing to listen to offers is French defender Jules Kounde. The former Sevilla man arrived at the Catalan club in the summer of 2022, and has been a great servant to the club since.
His last season in particular provided excellent results both collectively with the team and individually as well. However, the French defender understands that his position may not be too secure going into the future.
The center back positions are now well-equipped and full of depth. Ronald Araujo, Inigo Martinez, Andreas Christensen, and Pau Cubarsi all provide excellent levels of quality in a position that only offers two slots at a time.
Moreover, With the Catalan club already willing to bet on both Joao Cancelo and Hector Fort as the right-backs, Kounde does not have a spot left over there.
Therefore, the Blaugranes cannot dismiss the possibility that Kounde may seek a move to a club where he can assume the central defensive role and be the focal point.
