Barcelona always look forward to the transfer window as a great opportunity to strengthen themselves. However, the Catalan giants are not the only ones focused on this goal. Even apart from Barcelona, other clubs tend to focus on reinforcing themselves as much as possible.

Moreover, certain clubs come with the intention of weakening their rivals and other clubs as well. Bayern Munich, for instance, are among those clubs that have recently tried to launch an offensive on one of FC Barcelona’s most valuable players.

As per several reports, Bayern Munich remain heavily interested in the services of Ronald Araujo. In fact, many updates in recent weeks have suggested that the Bavarians are willing to pay great amounts of money to ensure they can take away the Uruguayan.

However, in his latest press conference with Xavi Hernandez ahead of the game against Osasuna in the Spanish Super Cup, the Uruguayan himself has given hope to those who follow La Blaugrana, as per SPORT.

Asked about the rumors linking him to the Bavarian giants, Araujo’s response was quite clear about what he made of the reported news:

“I am focused on the club, I am happy. I always do my best when it’s my turn to defend this shirt.”

He also took the opportunity to point out the fact these speculations are an occurrence that take place in every transfer window, and that they do not phase his loyalty to Barcelona:

“Every transfer market there is always something being talked about. But I always show that every time I wear this shirt I show my 100% loyalty.”

Araujo will next be in action for Barcelona against CA Osasuna for the Spanish Super Cup. Taking on their fellow La Liga team in the semi-finals, Barcelona will want to grab this opportunity with both hands. Having rekindled and propelled their season last time around, Xavi’s side hope for more of the same.
